We are delighted to welcome the Norwegian tuba soloist August Schieldrop to Crescendi Artists for exclusive representation in the Nordic countries.
August has performed as a soloist with leading Norwegian orchestras such as the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Stavanger Philharmonic, Trondheim Philharmonic Bergen Philharmonic, and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, among others. He is a regular participant at prominent chamber music festivals in Scandinavia, including the Oslo Chamber Music Festival and Festspillene i Bergen. He is also actively involved in new music, premiering solo pieces with orchestras, professional army bands, and chamber groups at Norway’s major stages.
August has received several awards in recognition of his musical talent. He was named the “Young Musician of the Year” after winning UMM 2020, the national championship for classical musicians under the age of 23. In addition, he was awarded the prestigious “Equinor Talent Award” worth €100,000 in 2021. He has played concerts in several countries, including Sweden, Denmark, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and the USA.
