Crescendi Artists is delighted to welcome highly acclaimed Venezuelan tenor Jorge Puerta to the roster for exclusive worldwide representation.
Jorge Puerta’s versatile repertoire spans some of the most iconic roles in the Italian operatic tradition. He has brought to life characters such as Mario Cavaradossi/Tosca and Calaf/Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, as well as Radamès/Aida, Don Alvaro/La Forza del destino, Gabriele Adorno/Simon Boccanegra by Giuseppe Verdi, and the title role in Andrea Chénier by Umberto Giordano, cementing his place among the most compelling dramatic tenors of his generation.
From 2022 to 2024, Jorge Puerta was a member of the ensemble at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Additionally, he has performed at the Semperoper Dresden, Palacio de la Opera de A Coruña, the Lithuanian National Opera & Ballet, Austria’s Oper im Steinbruch Festival, and the St. Gallen Festival, among others.

Most recent highlights include standing ovations at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires for his portrayal of Calaf in Turandot, his performance as Don Alvaro in Verdi’s La forza del destino at the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, Ismaele in Nabucco at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at the St. Gallen Festival.
During the ongoing 2025–26 season, Jorge Puerta continues to expand his repertoire with several powerhouse roles. At the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, he is reprising Calaf/Turandot, debuting Dick Johnson/La fanciulla del West, and the title role in Otello. In August 2026, he will make his debut as Canio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci at Teatro Teresa Carreño (Caracas, Venezuela).
Looking toward the 2026–27 season, Puerta will make his highly anticipated United States debut, bringing Calaf to The Dallas Opera and Mario Cavaradossi to The Atlanta Opera, a.o.
