Soprano Lisa Wittig Joins Crescendi Artists

We are delighted to announce that German lyric soprano Lisa Wittig joins Crescendi Artists for general management worldwide!

Born in Trier and raised near the French-Luxembourg border, Lisa Wittig received a bilingual musical education before studying with Prof. Christiane Libor at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in opera performance in 2022.

From 2022 to 2025 she was a permanent ensemble member at the Aalto Theater Essen, where she sang leading lyric soprano roles, including Pamina/Die Zauberflöte, Fiordiligi/Così fan tutte, Lauretta/Gianni Schicchi, Susanna/Le nozze di Figaro, and Micaëla/Carmen.

Highlights of her 2024/25 season included her Italian debut as Ortlinde/Die Walküre under Oksana Lyniv at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, her role debut as Ashley Devon in the German premiere of Missy Mazzoli’s The Listeners at the Aalto Theater, her appearance as the First Flowermaiden in Roland Schwab’s new Parsifal, and her return to Pamina at Bühnen Bern. In concert, she performed at the Philharmonie Essen in a Christmas gala alongside Daniel Hope and Daniel Geiss, and in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.

In the 2025/26 season, Lisa Wittig will appear as a soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elias at Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen, in Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium at Essener Dom, and in Mendelssohn’s Paulus at St. Paulus Dom in Münster, a.o.
