We are delighted to announce that mezzo-soprano Christina Jønsi has joined Crescendi Artists for general management.
A graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Opera (2021), Christina Jønsi joined the Young Artist Programme at the Norwegian National Opera the following season, appearing in Carmen, Jenůfa, and Orphée aux Enfers. She returned as a guest soloist in Elektra, and later performed in David Bruce’s Nothing and as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel.
In 2024, Christina made her debut at Kristiansund Opera as Magdelone in Holberg’s Den Stundesløse, and at the Bergen National Opera, where she starred as The Younger Woman in Asle og Alida — a role that also marks her international debut at The Royal Danish Opera today (May 21, 2025).
In addition to opera, she is an accomplished concert soloist, performing works by Mozart and Bach, a.o.
Christina Jønsi was a finalist in the 2022 Cesti Competition in Innsbruck.
