In an exceptional musical production to kick off this year’s Church Music Days, Kristiansand Domkor will present Mendelssohn’s oratorio ‘Elias’ on October 29 and 30, 2023. A star-studded ensemble of soloists has been assembled, including mezzo-soprano Ingeborg Gillebo. The performance will be enriched by the harmonious voices of the Cathedral Choir, Kristiansand Opera Choir, Cathedral Boys’ Choir, and Cathedral Girls’ Choir, collectively comprising up to 100 talented singers.
This semi-operatic masterpiece is under the artistic guidance of cantor Marianne Sødal Misje and director Nils Harald Sødal, featuring captivating film production and lighting by Per Tomas Govertsen.
