Giordano Bellincampi‘s tenure as the Music Director of the Auckland Philharmonia has been extended until the conclusion of 2027. Since assuming the role in 2016, the Italian-Danish conductor’s leadership and visionary approach have propelled the New Zealand orchestra to unprecedented artistic achievements and heightened its global recognition. This marks the third extension of Bellincampi’s contract, totaling an impressive 12 years in this role, the longest tenure among all Music Directors in the orchestra’s 44-year history.
