Crescendi Artists is delighted to welcome conductor Sergio Alapont to the roster for exclusive worldwide representation (except Italy).
Maestro Alapont is acclaimed for his passionate, compelling musicianship and charismatic presence on the podium. Winner of the Best Conductor in Italy Award at GBOSCAR – L’Eccellenza dell’Opera (2016), he is widely regarded as one of the leading conductors of his generation.
Equally active in opera and symphonic work, Alapont has conducted many of the world’s leading orchestras and opera companies.

Recent opera engagements include La rondine (Metz; Minnesota Opera), Nabucco (Seville; Teatro Real Madrid), La bohème (Irish National Opera), Carmen (Valladolid; Oviedo), a new Idomeneo (Opéra National du Rhin), The Merry Widow (Verona), Poliuto (Glyndebourne Festival with the LPO), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Norwegian National Opera), and appearances at Wexford Festival Opera, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and major Italian houses.
As newly appointed Music Director of Orquestra Clássica do Centro in Coimbra, he leads a wide symphonic repertoire in Portugal.
Forthcoming engagements include Carmen across several Italian theatres, Andrea Chénier in Santiago de Chile, The Nutcracker at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, and Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 at Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.
