We are delighted to welcome conductor Kevin Rhodes to the Crescendi Artists roster for general management.
For more than three decades, Maestro Kevin Rhodes has been a prominent presence in the world’s musical capitals, leading performances at some of the most prestigious institutions, including La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris Opera, the Rome Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, the Dutch National Ballet, the Korean National Ballet, the Slovenian National Opera and Ballet, the Slovak National Opera and Ballet, and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, among many others. Equally at home in opera, concert, and ballet, Rhodes has built an exceptionally large and diverse repertoire, having conducted more than 60 orchestras across over 20 countries.

During the 2024/25 season, Kevin Rhodes returned to the Rome Opera House, the Paris National Opera, the Slovenian National Opera, and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, conducting a wide range of works including The Rite of Spring, La bohème, The Sleeping Beauty, La traviata, and others. His 19 performances of Manuel Legris’ production of Delibes’ Sylvia at the Paris Opera marked the third house—after Vienna and Milan—where this staging has been presented, with Rhodes having conducted every performance since its 2018 premiere in Vienna. The season concluded with an internationally acclaimed co-production between the opera houses of Trieste (Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi) and Bologna (Teatro Comunale di Bologna) of Leonard Bernstein’s landmark operetta Candide. For this project, he collaborated with director and choreographer Renato Zanella, celebrating 30 years of artistic partnership.
In the 2025/26 season, Kevin Rhodes returns to La Scala in Milan (The Sleeping Beauty ballet and Gala Fracci), the Slovak National Opera and Ballet (Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet and concerts), and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet (The Nutcracker and a “triple bill” program). He also leads his Traverse City Philharmonic in a season featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Holst’s The Planets, Bernstein’s Symphony No. 2, Brahms’ Requiem, Dvořák’s New World Symphony, and many other staples of the concert repertoire.
