We are delighted to announce the addition of baritone Magnus Berg to our roster for general management.
As a Young Artist part of the Royal Danish Opera, Magnus has quickly established himself as one of Scandinavia’s most interesting baritones for opera and concerts. He graduated from the program in the spring of 2023.
In season 23/24 he debuted roles such as Papageno in Barry Kosky’s famous production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Publio in Jetske Mijnssnen’s new production of La clemenza di Tito at the Royal Danish Opera, as well as revisited the role of Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème with the Trondheim Symphonic Orchestra, directed by José Cura. He tours with the Querini Opera and the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra to Bodø, Tromsø, and Venezia. Also, he portrays the lead part of Kong Knud in the newly written children’s opera Time’s Up, Kong Knud! by Siobhan Presencer at the Copenhagen Opera Festival. In addition, Berg can be seen and heard in various concerts and events, including performing as a soloist in Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the Arctic Philharmonic in March 2024.
