BIOGRAPHY

Born in Turin to a Sicilian family, Stefano La Colla started his studies at the Conservatory Pietro Mascagni in Leghorn and refined his skills under the tutelage of Luciana Serra and Carlo Meliciani. He also participated in a masterclass led by Magda Olivero and Raina Kabaivanska.

Since his remarkable debut in 2008 as Radamès in Aida in Leghorn, Stefano has performed on the stages of renowned theaters worldwide, including La Scala Milan, Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, the Deutsche Opera Berlin and Berlin State Opera, Rome Opera House, La Monnaie Brussels, the Dutch National Opera and Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Opernhaus Zurich, Opera Chicago, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Opera House, Bunka Kaikan Tokyo. He has also performed at Teatro Regio Turin, Florence Theatre of Maggio, San Carlo Naples, Teatro Filarmonico and Arena Verona, La Fenice of Venice, Teatro Comunale Bologna, Teatro Municipale Piacenza, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Semperoper Dresden, Hamburg State Opera, Opera Frankfurt, Cologne Opera, Norwegian National Opera Oslo, and the Canadian Opera Company.

Stefano has showcased his talent on several festival platforms, including the Festival Chorégies d’Orange, Spring Festival Tokyo, Festival Wiesbaden, Sferisterio Macerata, and Festival Arena Verona.
