Greta Lirussi is a brand new important young talent, possessing a full lyric quality of voice of great projection and attractive timbre. She is taking her first steps now and deserves close attention.


In November 2023 Greta Lirussi made her debut in Puccini’s Il trittico as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and Genovieffa in Suor Angelica at Teatre Principal de Palma de Mallorca.

Her future engagements include the title role in Suor Angelica in Hong Kong.

In August 2023, Greta Lirussi made her soloist debut with the Orchestra dei Colli Morenici, conducted by M° Giuseppe Vaccaro, at the Stelle Della Lirica concert at Parco Giardino Sigurtà, Valeggio sul Mincio VR. She performed “La mamma morta” from Andrea Chenier by Umberto Giordano. In the same month, she took part in the Masterclass Alto Perfezionamento Canto Lirico led by M° Simone Piazzola, M° Giuseppe Vaccaro and M° Simone Zampieri, where she won a Recital Concert in November at Auditorium Villafranca di Verona.

In the summer of 2023, she sang as a soprano chorister in the 100th Arena di Verona Summer Festival, under the direction of choirmaster Roberto Gabbiani. In January 2023, she participated in another Masterclass Alto Perfezionamento Canto Lirico held by M° Simone Piazzola and M° Simone Zampieri, where she won the Stelle Della Lirica Concert. In the same month, she also took part in the special event for the third anniversary of the ascension of Oman’s Sultan at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, directed by M° Placido Domingo and M° Martino Faggiani, with the Coro Camerata Musicale di Parm

In the summer of 2022, she joined the Arena di Verona Summer Festival as a soprano chorister, under the direction of choirmaster Ulisse Trabacchin. She had the opportunity to work with internationally recognized directors such as M° Daniel Oren, M° Ivan Ciampa, and M° Placido Domingo.


Greta Lirussi was born in Mestre (Venezia). She started her musical path by attending the musical middle school. She studied violin at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Venice reaching the eighth year of studies, being part of M° Roberto Zedda’s class. She obtained the 1st level academic diploma in Opera Singing at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Venice, studying with M° Giancarlo Pasquetto, M° Paola Romanò, M° Federica Bragaglia and M° Sara Mingardo. She is currently studying with both the Baritone M° Simone Piazzola and M° Giuseppe Vaccaro.

Previous Engagements and Awards in Recent Years

In September 2021 Greta Lirussi made her debut as Ines in Verdi’s Il Trovatore at the Verdi Theater in Pisa, under the direction of M° Marco Guidarini and directed by M° Stinchelli. In August 2021 she studied with M ° Patrizia Quarta. In September 2020 she participated at Barbara Frittoli’s Masterclass organized by Vicenza In Lirica. In July 2020 she was selected to participate in the Puccini Academy of Torre Del Lago (Viareggio) where she made her debut as La Zia in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, conducted by M° Enrico Calesso and directed by M° Manu Lalli, at the Gran Teatro Puccini.

In June 2019 she won the second prize “Lukas Franceschini” at the “Tullio Serafin” competition in Cavarzere, promoted by the Vicenza in Lirica association. The jury was composed by M° Barbara Frittoli, M° Toni Gradsack; M° Gianni Tangucci, Barbara Andreini, Renzo Banzato, M° Claudio Sartorato and M° Andrea Castello. In May 2019 she won the scholarship as the best student of the opera singing Masterclass “Trame Sonore”, in the section dedicated to the Verdi repertoire “intimate as expression of beauty”. The event took place in Mantua and was held by M° Barbara Frittoli. During the Masterclass, she performed in the final concert at the Bibiena Theater, in Mantua. In 2018 she studied in Cremona with mezzo-soprano Nadiya Petrenko.

She obtained her 1st level academic diploma at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice in September 2017, after participating in the Vicenza in Lirica Association Masterclass, led by M° Barbara Frittoli. She also attended three other masterclasses by M° Barbara Frittoli, organized by the Maria Malibran Association in Naples in November 2016, and by the Rosetum Cultural Center in Milan in February 2017.
