Crescendi Artists is delighted to welcome the distinguished mezzo-soprano Tone Kummervold for general management (worldwide exclusive).
Renowned for her vocal versatility and compelling stage presence, Tone Kummervold has taken on a wide range of leading roles across both classic and contemporary opera. Recent highlights include Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera, Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites, The Old Lady in Candide, Baba the Turk in The Rake’s Progress (a performance that drew critical acclaim), and Politikaren / Dei tilsette in Terminus at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet. She also appeared as Brigitta in Die tote Stadt at the Bergen National Opera and in a Ravel & Shostakovich concert with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra.
Looking ahead to the 2025/26 season, Kummervold will make several major international debuts, including Mérope in Enescu’s Oedipe at Bregenzer Festspiele, Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde with Korea National Opera, and returns to Prague State Opera as Fricka in Das Rheingold and Mère Marie in Dialogues des Carmélites. She is also set to debut at the Glyndebourne Festival.
Her critically acclaimed solo album, Unravel Tradition, was released in 2024 on the Simax label. It was named a cultural highlight of the year by Aftenposten and recognized as Album of the Month by Klassekampen.
