Premiere: Erika Grimaldi Makes a Role Debut as Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at Opernhaus Zürich

Soprano Erika Grimaldi will make her role debut as Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at Opernhaus Zürich this December. Directed by Adele Thomas and conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, Grimaldi is taking the stage on December 8, 11, 14, 17, 21, and 28, as well as January 5, 10, 15, and 19.

This performance marks a significant milestone in Grimaldi’s career, as she follows her critically acclaimed portrayal of Maddalena in Andrea Chénier at Zürich with the challenging role of Amelia, a central character in Verdi’s beloved Un ballo in maschera.
