We are delighted to welcome Norwegian conductor Ingar Bergby to Crescendi Artists’ roster! Known as the great generalist of Norwegian music, Ingar Bergby has conducted a diverse range of repertoire, from symphonic and opera works to ballet, contemporary music, military band performances, and crossover genres. He specializes in both classical and contemporary Norwegian and Nordic music, with several important recordings in this field. His longstanding collaboration with composer Arne Nordheim has significantly influenced his approach to contemporary music. We look forward to supporting his continued success!

Ingar Bergby’s recent engagements include conducting works by Sæverud, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and premieres of contemporary pieces with various orchestras, including the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK), the Oslo Philharmonic, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic, the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra, and the Odense Symphony Orchestra, among others. He was a conductor-in-residence for the Cartagena Music Festival (2024). He has also worked with military bands such as the Norwegian Army Band, the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces, and the Norwegian Marines Band.
