August Schieldrop Receives the 2025 Lindeman Prize for Young Musicians

Tuba player August Schieldrop has been chosen by Ole Edvard Antonsen as the recipient of the 2025 Lindeman Prize for Young Musicians. The honour was announced in September and formally presented on October 17 during the Lindeman Prize Gala Concert at the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Each year, the Lindeman Prizes recognise exceptional talent and contributions to Norway’s musical life. Antonsen, who received this year’s main Lindeman Prize – one of the most prestigious music awards in Norway – personally selected Schieldrop for the youth award.
