Conductor Russell Gray Joins Crescendi Artists

We are delighted to announce the addition of conductor Russell Gray to Crescendi Artists’ roster for exclusive representation in the Nordic region and non-exclusive management worldwide.

After gaining his master’s degree in Orchestral conducting, passing with distinction, at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Russell’s career now embraces the worlds of orchestral, brass, and wind band music. Since 2014 he has been a regular Guest Conductor with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in Denmark and also many of the military bands in Denmark, Norway, and the United Kingdom.

Recent highlights include a World premier performance of William Broughton’s First Symphony (composed for Russell as a gift) with the Brisbane Philharmonic in Australia. The World premiere of Tuba/Trumpet Concerto by Ole Schmidt with Aalborg Symphony, the world premiere ofTourbillon by Tom Davoran (composed as a gift to Russell and the Orchestra), with Aalborg Symphony, the Danish premiere of Gavin Higgin’s Velocity with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, and the world premiere of Saints Triumphant by Philip Wilby with the Foden’s Brass Band.

Russell has established himself as one of the leading conductors of Brass ensembles in the world today. Since his debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2000, he has proven himself as one of the most creative, interpretive conductors of brass music of his generation.
