INTRODUCTION
Polish soprano Anna Simińska is highly acclaimed and sought lyric coloratura soprano of great quality and sparkle suitable for many different demanding coloratura parts in various repertoire fields.
She excels also as the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte she has performed around the world in major theaters including Opéra national de Paris, Vienna Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Hamburg Staatsoper, Komische Oper Berlin, Washington National Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Dresden Semperoper, Opéra de Montréal, and Oper Frankfurt.
RECENT AND FUTURE ENGAGEMENTS
In the 2022/2023 season, Anna Simińska reprised the role of Gilda/Rigoletto and performed in Carmina Burana with the Polish National Opera. She also took on the role of Queen of the Night/Die Zauberflöte at Teatro Colon. In the 2023/2024 season, she made her San Francisco Opera debut as the Queen of the Night and performed the same role at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona. Additionally, she returned to the Polish National Opera for more performances of Carmina Burana.
Future performances include a Gala concert with Magdalena Kozena and the Norwegian Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra.
BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Siminska was born in Lodz and studied at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy, Warsaw, and at Graz University of the Arts. She made her international debut in 2007 as Adele in Die Fledermaus at the Schlosstheater in Schönbrunn, and is a former member of the Salzburg Festival Young Singers’ Project.
Her engagements in recent years include Woglinde in Götterdämmerung for the Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg festivals, Adele in Der Fledermaus for Vienna Staatsoper, Clorinda in La Cenerentola at the Glyndebourne Festival, the Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Flaminia in Il mondo della luna at the Bruckner Festival in Linz, Amina in La sonnambula and Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi in Graz, Ilia in Idomeneo with Komische Oper Berlin, Gilda in Rigoletto in Limoges, Kazan, and Lithuania, the title role in Le Rossignol with the Polish National Opera, Sandrina in La finta giardiniera with Berlin Staatsoper and Theater Bonn, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos in concert with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and Blumenmädchen in Parsifal with Paris Opera and the Bayreuth Festival.
Siminska’s concert appearances include Carmina Burana at the Wiener Musikverein, AIDS Gala at the Deutsche Oper in Dusseldorf, gala concerts in KKL Luzern, Alte Oper in Frankfurt and in Concert Hall in Baden Baden. She also took part in Life Reimagined gala in Royal Opera House Covent Garden next to Bryn Terfel and Sonya Yoncheva. Additionally, she was invited by Antonio Pappano to participate in the documentary Pappano’s Classical Voices produced by BBC next to Anna Netrebko, Joyce DiDonato, Jonas Kaufmann, and Diana Damrau.
