From August 11th soprano Lina Johnson takes the stage as the rebellious Marie/La fille du régiment at The Oscarsborg Opera, Norway. Donizetti’s popular opéra comique in two acts will be performed in French, with Norwegian subtitles.
“Marie is a dream role that is on my (somewhat short) list of my absolute favorites. It is so right for my type of voice and it has everything: drama, sadness, playfulness, humor, flexibility, transformation, reckless language and it even ends well!“, says Mrs. Johnson for oscarsborgoperaen.no.
It’s the 4th main role for Lina Johnson in Oscarsborg as she has previously performed as Adina/L’elisir d’amore in 2013, as Gilda/Rigoletto the following year, as Adele/Flaggermusen and as a soloist in their 20-year anniversary concert in Smia in 2018.
