Elisabeth Westenholz has studied in Denmark, with Bruno Seidlhofer in Vienna and with Alfred Brendel.

She made her debut in 1968 and have since been one of Denmark’s most performing pianists. She has given concerts all over Denmark and abroad – among others at the Festival in Montreux-Vervey, Ludwigsburger Festspiele, Concertgebouw’s Chamber music Series, Perth Festival and New Zealand International Festival of the Arts.

In 1997 Elisabeth Westenholz performed all works by Beethoven for cello and piano with Ralph Kirshbaum, and in 1997 they again performed together at the Aarhus Cello Festival. She has toured Spain, Lithuania and Saudi-Arabia.

Elisabeth Westenholz has made numerous recordings of chamber music works by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Kuhlau. In addition she has recorded Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations and most recent Schubert’s Wandererfantasie, both in original version and in Liszt’s version for piano and orchestra.
