Thomas Storm is educated from the Opera Academy at The Royal Opera House in Copenhagen in 2011. Even before finishing his studies he sang Morales in Carmen, and Schaunard in La Bohéme with among others worldstar Anna Netrebko.
Since 2011 he has been working freelance all over the world. He has been regularly invited back at The Royal Opera Copenhagen. He has sung various roles at Danish National Opera, Operaen i Midten, Aarhus sommeropera, Opera Hedeland and Den Fynske Opera.
He has sung roles as, Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte, Danilo in The Merry Widow, Schaunard in La Bohéme, Morales in Carmen, Bob in Menottis The Old Maid And The Thief and Il Conte in Le Nozze Di Figaro to mention a few.
He has also performed in several contemporary operas and several Danish composers has composed roles especially to him.
Recent/future highlights include Don Giovanni at Aarhus Sommeropera, Michael Bojesen's Juleoratorium with Aarhus Symfoniorkester, Grev Danilo/Den Glade Enke with Odense Symfoniorkester, Stabat Mater at Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester as well as the title role in Don Giovanni and Marcello/La Bohéme.
As concert singer he has sung Händel Messiah, Weihnach oratorium, Sct. John ang Sct. Mathew Passion, Haydn The Creation, Mendelsohn Elijah, Brahms Requiem, Carmina Burana, Faure Requiem and many more.
In 2013 he was appointed Carl Nielsen Artist by Odense Symphony Orchestra singing Nielsens 3rd symphony ”Espansiva” and a number of recitals with Nielsens songs, broadcasted live on Danish Radio. This led to concerts in New York, Berlin and the Philippines.
Thomas Storm has recived a Reumert talentprize for his interpretation of Guglielmo in Mozarts Cosi van tutte, Leonie Sonning prize, Funen Opera award as well as Aarhus summeropera prize for his performances there.
