Bo Kristian Jensen is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio and of the Opera Academy in Copenhagen.
Recent engagements include Froh/Das Rheingold with Odense Symphony Orchestra, Ferrando/Cosi fan tutte at Aalborg Opera Festival and at Den Fynske Opera as well as Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni at Den Ny Opera Esbjerg.
Future engagements include among others the role of Belmonte/Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Den Jyske Opera and at Royal Danish Opera, København Det Kongelige Teater, Don Juan at Den Fynske Opera, Odense as well as Christmas appearance with Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester.
Since 2006 he has been a member of the soloist ensemble at the Royal Opera, Copenhagen, where he has sung roles as Count Almaviva/Il barbieri di Sigvilia, Don Ottavio/Don Giovanni and Tamino/Die Zauberflöte. He has also sung at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Danish National Opera, the BBC Proms in Royal Albert Hall and at the opera festival in Aix-en-Provence.
Singing oratorios he has been soloist with most major orchestras in Denmark, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Bo Kristian Jensen has been the soloist in the Matthäus Passion (Evangelist and arias), St John Passion (Evangelist and arias), Christmas Oratorio I-VI, B-minor Mass, Easter oratorio, Magnificat and numerous other works by J.S. Bach, Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Creation and Nelson mass, Mozart's Requiem and C minor mass, Carmina Burana by Orff, Puccini's Missa di Gloria, Rachmaninoff’s Vesper and Robert Schumann's Das Paradies und die Peri.
