Anna Kasyan is one of the most promising
French sopranos of her generation. She has established herself in a wide
repertoire of opera and sacred music to chamber music, from baroque to

Toulon where she also sang Rosina/ Il Barbiere di
Siviglia, Hélène/Vêpres Siciliennes by Verdi in Nice and
also Rusalka/Rusalka in Rome. She also did a series of
concerts in France with the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Toulon conducted by
Giuliano Carella. In June 2012, she sung the role of Clorinda/La
Cenerentola and this opera film produced by Andrea Andermann was
broadcasted live in more than 150 countries worldwide and will be released on
DVD this year.
Future highlights include Rosina/Il Barbiere di
Siviglia at Copenhagen Royal Opera and Petite Messe Sollenelle with Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir.
She made her debut on various prestigious
venues and with conductors of great renown. Her opera repertoire already has 20
roles: Susanna, Zerlina, Amital, Rosina, Clorinda, Norina, Leonora,
Eurydice, Frasquita, Musetta, Calisto, Despina, Fiordiligi, Virtù, Palladius,
Damigella, Iphigenia, Anai, Wellgunde, and Micaela.
After the great success of Cosi fan
tutte in 2011, the
conductor T. Currentzis also re-invited Anna Kasyan in September 2013 to Perm
Opera , where she made her debut in the role of Susanna/Le Nozze di
Figaro, the new co -production of the Perm Opera and Festspielhaus Baden-
Baden. Moreover Anna Kasyan recently recorded the role of Despina/Cosi
fan tutte for label Sony Classic sld T. Currentzis. Hailed by critics
of Russia for her play and her interpretation of this role, Anna Kasyan was
nominated to the Russian Golden Mask Performing Arts Festival and National
Theatre Award in the category "Best Female Artist ". She made her
debut in the same role at Novaya Opera of Moscow.
Same year Anna Kasyan made her debut in the
title role of Gluck's Iphigenia in Aulis the new Cultural
Athens Centre Onassis. In the following months, she sang in recital with
pianist Jeff Cohen at the Opera de Clermont-Ferrand. This concert was recorded
and retransmitted by Radio France Classic . She participated in the first concert
version of Das Rheingold / sld Wellgunde Kent Nagano in Salle
Wilfrid- Pelletier in Montreal. In Summer 2011 she was invited by the Festival
Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Virtù/The Incoronazione di Poppea,
Palladius and Damigella. The Ravenna Festival invites Anna Kasyan to attend
concerts in the frames of "The voce delle preghiere " where she
played the Armenian and Georgian spiritual songs , and "life
dell'amicizie" sld Riccardo Muti in Ravenna, Piacenza (Italy) and Nairobi
(Kenya). These concerts were filmed by the TV channel RaiUno and recorded by
radio Rai3, whose broadcasts were made to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of
the Unification of Italy.
In September 2011, the conductor and artistic director of the
Perm Opera T. Currentzis, offered his audience a rare opportunity to hear Anna
Kasyan in two different castings but in the same work. The singer has
interpreted a party to the other two heroines opposite theatrically as well as
vocally - Fiordiligi and Despina in Cosi
fan tutte. At its presence in Perm, she also sang the role of Micaela/Carmen,
which was sung for the first time in its original language.
The year 2010 was marked by the beginning of Anna Kasyan in the title
role in Cavalli's La Calisto at the Grand Théâtre de Genève
and as Fiordiligi/Cosi fan tutte in Opera Clermont-Ferrand.
She participated as Euridice/Orfeo ed Euridice in
"Styriarte" Festival Graz and the roles of Egle/Niso in
Egle ed Eurilla Sarri Festival La Chaise - God sld Antonio Florio. She sang in
the Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms Festival opera Days of
Chartres sld Jean- Yves Ossonce in recital Bel Canto Festival of St. Riquier,
played the role in the show Malibran Malibran: Life and Death of a Diva at the
Antibes Festival " Music for Hearts" with the participation Eve Ruggieri.
The Orchestra of the Opera of Toulon Anna Kasyan invited to perform on tour in
France and Tunisia, where they took part in one of the biggest festivals of
symphonic music in the Arab countries" El Jem."
The same year, Anna Kasyan had great success in Leonora/Il
Trovatore in Italian theaters Ravenna, Jesi, Fermo, Cosenza, Ferrara,
Pisa and as Anaï in Rossini's opera Moses Pharaoh in
the season opener of the Rome Opera under the direction of Riccardo Muti and
the staging Pier'Alli.
Along with her scenic activity, Anna Kasyan
occurs regularly in recitals around the world including the Carnegie Hall in
New York, Flanders Opera (Antwerp and Gant), Théâtre du Châtelet and Cité de la
Musique in Paris the Opéra de Québec, the Hermitage Theatre and the Great Hall
of St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Hercules Hall in Munich, the Palais des
Beaux-arts in Brussels, and in the Chateau de Versailles.
Anna Kasyan is winning in several
International Singing Competition: 1st Prize and the Special Prize of Teresa
Berganza Julian Gayarre in Pamplona (Spain) contest; quadruple winner for
International ARD Music Competition - Munich (Germany ) as well as UNISA -
Pretoria (South Africa) Competition in Geneva (Switzerland), Queen Elisabeth
International Music Competition (Belgium) , the Grand Prize at the
International d'Art Lyrique Barbara Hendricks Strasbourg ( France ). She
also won the Bellini Singing Competition in Paris in the beginning of 2014.
Anna Kasyan was named Newcomer of the Lyric
Adami in 2006 ( France ). She saw the award of public " Best Artist "
Festival " Musical Olympus " in Saint -Petersburg in 2008 (Russia)
and was named Newcomer of the Year Artist Lyric at the Victoires de la Musique
Classique 2010 (France).
